Most of the boats on the Shannon provide power through 12v cigarette lighter sockets which will charge phones and cameras but won't power high-draw items like hairdryers. Some boats have shore power, which means that you can plug the boat into a power socket on the jetty and use 220v power throughout the boat. If a boat doesn't have shore power then you can purchase an extension lead on Amazon, or you can make one like Ger Dwyer did for his cruise on a Silver Stream.

In regards to the shore power question,
I attached images of the extension I had made up.
You can get them on Amazon though, 230v is cool as it handles 220-250v,
I didn’t see anyone else with circuit breakers on it so don’t think it’s necessary but would do no harm to have I guess.
I would recommend a 15 meter + lead though especially for the bigger boats.
There’s plenty of YouTube videos on how to set it up, if you need help let me know.
