Week one was amazing with the unusual hot weather, we went from Portumna to TerryGlass, lovely clean marina and the kids had a great time in the water, next day went to Dromineer, that's lovely but the people that frequent it would put me off it, we had to move the boat a few times to get quiet place that evening.
Day 3 we cruised down to Mount Shannon which was a pleasant surprise, lovely clean Marina with plenty of space, the playground and village where immaculate and I used the dinghy to take a trip over to Holy Island that was well worth the trip, we finished up in Castle Harbour in Portumna, very small harbour but well worth the stay, the Horizon was a smashing boat, the layout was brilliant and I was able to fit in the shower unlike other boats we rented in the past. The staff in Portumna were very nice and helpful to deal with.
Week 2 on the Vision, the boat was brilliant unlike the weather, we used the large dining area a lot and enjoyed the extra space in the bedrooms and en suites, the fact we were advised to pump out the toilet tanks after 2 days wasn't ideal but we managed it, we needed the built in generator which is a great idea and the boat was fine to handle once we took our time when parking, we went to Lough Key for a night and then south to Dromod for a couple of nights, it was very nice and we got a lovely meal from Cox's just up the road. We really enjoyed our two trips and will be back to book another soon.
