We got on fairly well considering we were totally new to this. The boat was how I expected it, very clean and had everything we needed. We had an issue with a "cable" that snapped but we came back to carrig on shannon and it was sorted within a couple of hours by very helpful mechanics who also gave Tom some very useful tips on how to steer the boat.. There is so much to see while driving along. I loved all the bit of wildlife.
Our trip was really great .... apart from paddling and using the big ferries we haven''t done anything like that before. We first collected our son, who just arrived home from his J1 at Dromod station and headed then as far as Athlone. Louh Ree was rather smooth in the beginning, but got pretty rough after a while, but having had 3 captains on the outside stirring kinda helped ... and to be hone...
