Lough Ree was a bit hairy on the way down from Lanesboro very windy but we managed it. It might be worth mentioning to future customers that Lough Ree can be very windy even on fine days.
Overall we really enjoyed our trip.

It was a pleasure Brian. Carrickcraft were great although I have not heard back the final cost for the fuel. We had a great trip up to Lough Ree and then all the way back to Lough Derg with the usual pitstops.

I must say we all had a great experience cruising on the shannon on the shannon star at the weekend and got on mighty with the boat everything went smoothly and will definitely do it again with my husband and the staff in the office at Portumna were really pleasant.

One issue I would have is that as we had a bigger boat we were restricted on certain routes that we could take and this only became apparent after we got to Carrick. I would have no hesitation in recommending your company as the service was excellent.
