We had such a good time on the boat! And the whole Irish experience was definitely great: nice places, really kind people, great pubs both for drinks & music (only weather might have been a bit better, but nobody can do anything about that)…
On lough Ree we had a 4 till 5 windy Beaufort, and we did not know anymore or it was of the good Irish Guinness or by the waves, but pictures showed us afterwards perfectly that it was… the very strong Irish wind, blowing (y)our boat very perfectly on it’s side…(!). Water came in…. .

We had a great time on the Shannon. We were lucky with the weather. We will definitely do it again but not with Emerald as I think for the price we paid they really should be upgraded.

Trip was good and bad.
Bad was weather and everything was closed. We were not aware all the public jetty facilities were closed. No toilets/showers/laundry etc. All tourist attractions were closed. (Due to covid 19).
Good- When it did stop raining it was lovely but that was one day !

I would definitely recommend Silver Lines for novices, as the young man who instructed us at the start, and who also helped us at the end, was very thorough and very pleasant
